Yup…it’s that time again. It’s time for me to give you with a quick rundown of what Ben and I have been up to on our High Speed Stuff podcast over the past week. So, without further delay, here’s what you can expect to find on iTunes…

On Tuesday, with Discovery’s Shark Week well underway, Ben and I felt inspired to do a topic that somehow tied-in with the week-long event. We thought: Cars and sharks…sharks and cars…something sharky…hmmm. Then it hit us. The Audi Shark concept! Notice I didn’t say concept car. That’s because the Audi Shark concept is actually a hovercraft. I’ve always been fascinated by hovercraft, so this topic was a lot of fun for me. And I think Ben really got into this one, too. So, is Audi really going to build a hovercraft? And where did this unusual design come from? If you don’t already know, I truly think you’ll be surprised by the answer. Of course, we spent a little time covering the basics of hovercraft operation, too. We even discussed the idea of using a hovercraft as daily transportation. Would it be practical? What would be the benefits and the limitations? I guess you’ll just have to listen to the podcast to learn why we’re not all able to drive hovercraft to-and-from work or school everyday.

And before we knew it, it was Thursday, and Ben and I had an entertaining discussion about police chases. I swear to you, this was not inspired by anything that happened over last weekend…seriously. We just both have an avid interest in learning how these things typically unfold — sometimes even on live television. We talked about the many, many ways that officers are trained to effectively put an end to a high-speed pursuit and, of course, why it’s a really bad idea to run in the first place. Man, for some reason I really want to see an episode or two of “COPS” right now.
